I just wanted to say thank you for taking such excellent care of my Father and my Grandmother. Both have seen you for their hearing aids. Both are hearing much better now, and are more involved in the conversations. They are hearing things that they haven’t heard in years. The only problem is, is that now we have to be careful what we say around them, as they do hear it.
I am a labor and delivery staff nurse. I was born with a 70% hearing loss to both ears. I was recently able to adjust quickly to Phonak’s CIC special features. It has provided sounds that are clear, crisp, and fluent.
Phonak also helped me to save the life of a newborn baby.
At 1:35 a.m. I was caring for a new mom and her baby following their strenuous delivery. Mom and dad were tired, excited, anxious and holding their newborn son. They were becoming familiar with his cues. While mom was holding her son, I was charting nursing notes about the delivery at the corner of the room. From the distance I heard a cough. The newborn choked and aspirated fluid into his lungs. Immediately I asked to take their baby and place him under the warm heat and light. He was not breathing and his heart-rate was bradicardic. I started to resuscitate the newborn with the assistance of another nurse. The baby slowly began to cry, become pink, and improve cardiac and respiratory functions. This incident that happened so quickly reminded me of how precious our hearing is. I became overwhelmed and confident that the Phonak product assisted in patient safety and quality care.

Hi Markus,
I purchased advanced ear protection to prevent hearing loss while operating my sport bike during my daily commute to work. I travel from High River to Calgary, and the wind blast noise can reach damaging levels at highway speeds. This is a fun sport, but can be a dangerous source of noise. I knew it was a good idea when I noticed only a small change with a 60db cut in level! This is because at high levels you can no longer tell when damage is occurring! The ear seems to limit the noise after it reaches a loud roar. Shortly after, I noticed an improvement in my hearing, and I no longer was asking "What", or "Huh" after a ride! My wife is very happy now!
I highly recommend ear protection under your helmet, you can still easily hear traffic approaching from behind, or beside you. Motorcycle riders already take a higher risk than anyone else on the road. Don't take chances with your hearing. No point going to the hearing clinic after it's too late! Ride safe, and have fun out there.

I realized that I needed some help with my hearing ability when I found that, at age 71, I was only hearing less than half of what my 12 year old granddaughter was saying to me and when watching television with my wife I was continually asking "what did he say?"
I consulted with my family Doctor and was referred to the Chinook Hearing Aid Centre.
Frankly, I was amazed at the advanced technology both in testing my hearing ability and with the construction of the hearing aid unit.
After taking a number of hearing tests, Markus H. at the Chinook Clinic in Midnapore, showed me the range of digital hearing aids available. I decided on the Senso completely in the Canal unit partly because it would not be visible. Later in using this unit I found that I was completely satisfied with my new hearing ability which is the closest possible to normal hearing.
I appreciated the care and attention given me by Markus and his staff to ensure that I was completely satisfied with the results.
